Student scholarship/travel grant application form

Prepare your application using the format below. Combine all material into a single PDF file, and email it to erik.g.larsson@liu.se with cc to petarp@es.aau.dk, with the subject “SP-for-5G travel grant application”.

Required format:

  1. Full name and address
  2. University/department and date of enrollment
  3. IEEE member number and/or EURASIP member number
  4. Your up-to-date resume including publication list
  5. Motivation for why you will attend the summer school (max 300 words)
  6. Title and abstract (max 100 words) of your poster presentation
  7. Recommendation letter from Ph.D. advisor (signed on university letterhead, and scanned)

The student applicant must be an IEEE SPS student member and/or EURASIP student member, and must have registered for the summer school prior to submitting the grant application.

Having a genuine need for travel support is one of the key requirements. You should only request the amount that is necessary. The school may grant a different amount from what you requested. You should work with your supervisor and institution/company to identify as much resources as possible to support your travel to the respective conference. You should request only the amount that isn’t covered by other resources. Applications that demonstrate such effort may be considered favorably during the grant selection.

A student who is awarded a student travel grant must attend the summer school in person. Payment will only be made to the student if the award recipient submits an expense report (with receipts). More details will be provided to the students who are selected to receive the student travel grant award.

The deadline for application was April 21, 2017, and has thus passed.

Please use only PDF format.  Emails with MS Word attachments will not be opened.
